Our Background at Priory Farm

We moved to Priory Farm in 2004 and aquired our first goats the same year.
All our goats are registered with The Pygmy Goat Club.
Our first 2 Pygmys were wethers, Freddie and Theo.
We then aquired breeding females and now sell Pedigree Female and Entire Male Kids.
Wethers are also for sale and listed on The Pygmy Goat Club Pet Register.

Our Goats
Our goats are all very friendly and love attention, especially Star. Star was orphaned at the age of 2 weeks so people became her family.
All our goats have a personality of their own. Some prefer to be left alone a bit while others enjoy petting and some are more adventurous.
To start with we had a fence of pig netting. However when the goats lent against it to scratch their backs it bent out of shape. We then put up chicken wire with it but this had little effect, resulting in us now having a  chain link fence with three rows of 3 inch half round poles!
If you are planning to get some goats we advise you to get the fence done properly as it is a lot less expensive in the long run and means you don't have to worry about where your goats are!
To stop our goats getting bored we built a wooden platform for them to play on. They love this and it also gives Theo and Freddie something to butt. A few tyres are also great as they provide shelter as well as something to jump on.
At night we put the goats in a shed in their own seperate pens, this way we can make sure they are all getting an equal amount of food and hay.
If you do have enough space and feel you would like animals we advise goats as they are fun to be around and easy to look after.
